August 26 and 27 at Stampede Park in Calgary

CALGARY (Friday, August 25, 2006) - Sascha Daley of Courtenay, B.C. and
Kristin Zurwick of Castlegar, B.C. captured top honours Friday at the DC
Nationals held in association with the Slam City Jam North American Skateboard
Championships at Stampede Park.

Daley used a dynamic switch kickflip to beat out Colin Nogue of Vancouver and
Josh Clark of Fredericton, N.B. in the men's open event, which featured 31
competitors drawn from the regional and local playoffs that drew 2,524 entries
across Canada.

Zurwick finished first in the women's open ahead of Kelsy Smith of Spruce
Grove, Alta. and Tamara Dryborough of Port Coquitlam, B.C.
