The Association of Women Bodyboarders is a non-profit organization formed in Hawaii in 1989 to introduce women to the sport of bodyboarding and to help in the sport's pursuit of excellence, fairness, and safety in competition and recreation. The only international women's bodyboarding organization in the world, and have representatives in Australia, Brazil, Chile, Hawaii, Ireland, Japan,Peru, Puerto Rico Portugal and the United States.
