EPS Epoxy Surfboard Ding Repair Step 3: "Filling the Ding" Cont.

Step 3: "Filling the Ding" cont. Wear rubber or latex gloves for this procedure. Start by mixing a small amount of epoxy resin in a plastic or similar container. It is important to stir the resin for a couple of minutes to help start the hardening reaction. Mix cavasill into the resin until it no longer droops. See picture below.

Coat all surfaces which will contact each other and position the foam into place. Remove all the resin that squeezes out between the board and foam piece. This will make it easier to shape the foam later. See Illustrations.

Let the piece sit overnight before shaping the EPS foam to the contours of the board.
